What do you need?

If you want to write CDs with OS/2 you have numerous choices. You may purchase RSJ-CDwriter from RSJ. It's a special installable filesystem which mounts your writer on a drive letter so it's possible to use any file manager to copy files on the CD. From usenet messages I got the impression that this solution is very reliable and easy to use. I have no experience with the product. A demo version is avaiable on the web.

The other solution is the use of Cdrecord/2 and cdrdao. These are freeware programs released under the Gnu Public Licence. Usage isn't that easy because these programs run in a VIO-window and have more options than you can imagine. But that's perfect for automated cdwriting tasks and you may find cdrecord on nearly any OS on this planet.
When using a decent frontend for these programs you're shielded from the command line syntax and have the full drag'n'drop comfort of modern desktops.

Screenshot of Data-CD-Creator I recommend Audio/Data-CD-Creator as the GUI of your choice because it reveals the full power of the WPS. And I'm not saying that because it's written by me but because it's the truth ;-).

Get the following tools and programs for a user friendly WPS integrated CD writing solution for free. Because of copyright reasons it's not possible to put all these programs and drivers into one package so you have to download them one after one. Sorry, there's no way around that.

Necessary tools:

Install the programs as described in the Readmes and you are done.

For advanced tasks ISOFS may be useful for you. Have a look at it and decide if it meets your needs. It's an installable filesytem to mount an ISO-datafile on a drive letter to have readonly access to the contents.
