Regarding the update announcement of OO2.04 in "OS2 and eCS sofware news" it says that:
"...need to access the update from http://www.ecomstation.com -> "Download the latest software and updates", then "OpenOffice.org 2.0 for eComStation public beta 2 (direct ftp-download link)" under "eComStation 1.2 Features:".
You won't find the update there.

On eCS news portal I found this:

"Log in to the Mensys site (not eComstation) and select 'Your
Downloads'. Then select the OpenOffice.org support agreement. Click on
'(browse)' alongside one of the filenames and then select the
ooo20-beta2 directory in which you will find the update."

This way you'll find the update.

thank you. as a technologist in the electronics industry, i constantly face untested directions such that its has become a peeve. i pull out 30 year old service manuals from time to time to remind myself of a time when more care, effort, and money were put into such matters.

Sorry to differ but the above method worked for me.

I think it depends on how your access is setup. I do not have an OO support agreement so no download via the Mensys site; I am on the OO Testteam and the above seems to be the only way that I can get either the beta or the update.

I really think its great to differ, that makes things go forward!
Ok, so the OO testteam can get the update that way, but maybee for endusers it doesn't work.

That is a thought, I can't see it either.

I just wanted to update this a bit. I am running OO.o 2.0 RC! and it rocks but it does run much, much faster on a jfs partition. I have a 2.0 gig JFS partition and I installed it to that.
