one of the best engines DARKPLACES could be coming to ecomstation. now quake rocks as it is but these guys lord havoc and Mathieu Olivier are working to bring it to ecom. but before the start i need to know some stuff.

what graphic cards are supported with ecomstation. i already know 3dfx works but it isnt highend enough. please help!

I use SNAP from ScitechSoft. It supports a wide variety of graphic cards. One can change graphic cards without having to unload and reload drivers (something those 'win' users probably wish they could do ).

Most of the ATI cards are supported with the possible exceptions being the very latest ones.

NVidia cards are not supported because NVidia refuses to release their driver code so it can be ported to other operating system drivers.

What would be the difference between this port and the one done years ago from stolen code? I think I still have it - perhaps I am the last one alive.
