I think it was well done. I wish there was a photo of the case.

What case, it hasn't been mounted in a case yet, it's still lying on the table, next to my mouse pad.

Great article! For similar projects I've found this page very usefull
http://users.erols.com/chare/elec.htm there you have information on about every pc cpu there is. This http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/ is also quite good to figure out the power needed.

I thought there was mention of a case (could not find it when I looked again).

There is mention of a MiniServer here at this site (mentioned elsewhere in this group under eyeOS). Could this be used in a similar situation?

I cannot see any problem with that, only as I understand it, the miniserver is for windows exclusively, and as mentioned in the article, the SCB is only 300 MHz !

I've used CF->IDE adaptors before w/ OS/2 and used a 512mb cf card which I formatted HPFS and boot from, however this CF was not formatted in a card reader, I used OS/2 to partition and format the disk during installation. In this case the system didn't realize that the CF was anything other then a standard hard drive.

Wierd that you can only get the system to boot when using FAT16 and not HPFS. Curious, but have you tried to use AirBoot as bootloader?

Wondering have anyone tried out an installation on Soekris boards? Check this little project out where a net4501 board from Soekris is used to build a silent bsd based firewall. The project can be found at the M0n0wall site.

Hi everyone

Because of a fire, LPWS will be offline for some (as yet undefined) time.

I will post here when it is online again.

Hallo Kif,

here is an alternate source for the CF to IDE adapter

http://www.esskabel.de/

It is the URL of the producer ( made in Germany ).

To buy one you have to go to selection "Partner" e.g " Adapter King" for an Online Shop to order the part.

Kiind regards

Rainer
