Thanks for the links. I should have specified that I need it for a notebook. Which ones of those listed are for a notebook?

At the Warpstock at Windsor Ontario Canada, there was mention and use of an wifi device that connected to the ethernet port and was powered by the usb port. It was small and portable. I think it was mentioned in another section of the forum (network?).
