I'm using a 30Gb HPFS partitions on Warp45 (I guess 4.0 with all convenience packages up to date) and any time when system ''froze'', the HPFS partition doesn't start .....You know....not enough memory to run chkdsk on drive .....
I tried to replace the chkdsk files with those provided by e-Bussines edition, and now, those files (INCLUDING DATABASE FILES) are copied in FOUND* directory wich lead to database crash.what shoul'd I do to crosover this issue ?
Any answer will be wellcome!
Thank's!

Hi

I'm not at my computer right now, but as I remember it, you should add device=chkdsk.sys to your config.sys.

I have it as one of the first lines in my config.

I prefer to boot to an alternate medium for running chkdsk. A CD, floppies, or a maintenance partition.

Recovering database files might be impossible. If you are lucky you can rename the "FOUND" files and put them back, otherwise I hope you have backups.

BASEDEV=CHKDSK.SYS
Also try adding "EARLYMEMINIT=TRUE" if your not using any ISA devices.

DB2 does't accept his database files to be copied or moved.
I will try to run chkdsk on other computer for this partition...
What is curios is that only in this computer is happening, is an new generation IBM xSeries ....again , with 4.5 warp;s chkdsk is does'n start the partition, only with chkdsk provide by eBussines series, wich seems to recognize larger 120 Gb disks....!
Anyway, thanks....
