Hi all,

I take a HDD loaded with OS/2 to another system, after which i keep getting the error message when loading the network card. Error is "LTA0007E Interrupt not enabled" "line 172 of config.sys will be ignored." After which my OS/2 server will boot but unable to start the requester service. Could someone help me please.Thank you very much!

Are you using the same network card in the new system as you were in the old system? Have you tried reinstalling the network card?

Are the old and new systems "the same" in terms of which IRQ's are assigned to/used by the same devices? Even using the same NIC in each system may not be enough to ensure compatibility. Look closely at your PCI devices whose drivers can (although not always so well) share interrupts. You may need to try making changes to your motherboard's BIOS settings that control how the IRQ's are assigned. If you're unlucky enough to be working with an OS/2 driver for some PCI device that doesn't actually share IRQ's then you may need to reserve the IRQ, in the BIOS, used by that driver/device.

Hi,

some (more) questions:
1) Is the NIC on the old system an ISA model or PCI?
2) Is the NIC on the new system the same or different?
3) Can you post the contents of PROTOCOL.INI (\ibmcom\protocol.ini) ?

Cheers
Thomas
