Hi,

Since I did not see any other replys I can offer some help.

Q: Did you install any other applications?

Q: Any Firewall or TCPIP Setting changes made recently?

Q: Can you FTP the file from the command line version of FTP?

Possible causes...
Maybe your libpath changed and now you are pulling a DLL from an old or incompatible source. Damaged DLL?

Search for DOCSHELL.DLL on your system and see if there are more than one copy at differing levels. Try replacing the failing DLL.

Perhaps, I installed the latest versions of Mozilla 1.7.8 and Firefox 1.0.4 and the problem still remains. There is a possibility that it is from the beta
version of Scitech SNAP. I'll have to look into it.

No firewall or TCPIP setting changes.

Q: Can you FTP the file from the command line version of FTP?

Yes. In fact, if I do a shift click in Mozilla, things don't crash.

Since it's a fresh install and I did a Find for docshell.dll, I did not find any
extra docshell.dll.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Well, installing the latest SNAP Professional beta 3.0.5 did not help: I still crash in DOCSHELL.DLL in both mozilla and firefox. And I did make sure that firefox and mozilla were using their own docshell.dll.

I think I'm going to back level both mozilla and firefox to older versions and see what happens.

Hmmm

You could allso bring your problem to the dedicated newsgroup at

<news://news.mozilla.org:119/netscape.public.mozilla.os2>

There are the "porters/programmers" of FireFox and Mozilla...

Furthermore could you disable the java-plugin to see if that helps..

With kind regards,

It turns out that I had changed

SET TMP=e:\var\temp

to

SET TMP=e:/var/temp

The forward slashes kills firefox and mozilla when I try to download files.
