I have replaced my 100mb NIC with a TP-LINK gigabit NIC. I am using drivers for it that work fine in 100mb mode but I cannot get it to operate at the 1Gbit speed.

The NIC is connected to a 8 port 1gigabit switch which indicates only a 100mbit connection.

The driver I am using is rtgnda12[.zip] and dated 12/2006 so there not too old. I also tried the GemMac stuff, but I could not get is to work at all.

Anyone with some ideas please??

I have the exact same setup and driver and that works fine, the driver should not matter anyhow, it is the connection between the card and the hub that is the problem, try switching cables, I have had some problems with older cables and gigabit ethernet, after all
Cat 5 was design for a different frequency range than is used in gbit ethernet

BTW what are the lights on the back of the card showing, 100Mb as well ?

I have tried using the know good CAT5 leads on the OS2BOX, but it remains at 100mb.
I have noticed that the card onky switches to 1gb once the driver [winxp] has initialized the card. In other words at power on the card default to 100mb until it told to switch to 1gb.
