Found this SimRobot for OS2 but it need to be compiled and I'm not a developer. So wonder if anyone else uses this tool and what it actually does. For me it looks like some of 3D tools or something and might be wrong here.

SimRobot for OS/2 is based on Borland's Object Windows Library 2.0 and runs under IBM OS/2. It uses the same source code as SimRobot for Windows. You must at least use Borland C++ 2.0 for OS/2 to be able to compile SimRobot for OS/2.

I have been told that it is a 'cinnematic robotic simulation'. I believe it means that it siumlates what a robot would 'see' in a give enviroment (a simulated robotic point of view - similar to what one sees in a 'first person shooter' game [where you don't see the person but you are the 'person' in the game]).

PS I am hoping some one with programming skills will see it as a challenge and try compiling it.

You could email them at simrobot@tzi.de and ask for a compiled version.

If not, i could give it a try since i still have Borland C 2.0 for OS/2 here, its
a nice c/c++ development tool with IDE etc.

I have the OpenWatcom compiler but I am not sure how to use it. It might be easier to e-mail them. Even if they did have the compiled version, it would be interesting to see the results of your efforts.

Not that I understand Spannish that well, but enought to visit the site that you recommended. Great deal of fun, but would this be same as I think, ie the good old Core Ware events that now also uses Java ?
