Is there a 'front end' for Pkzip for OS/2 (which can still be downloaded from Hobbes at http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/util/archiver/pkos2250.exe ). I am not talking about the one mentioned in the news article (main page of OS/2 World) but asking if there are any others.

Can one make a 'front end' for Pkzip for OS/2 using DrDialog?

Well a very simple unzip front end in rexx:

/* Open directory in wps */

call RxFuncAdd 'Sysopenobject', 'RexxUtil', 'Sysopenobject'

say arg(1)
curdir = directory(.)
unzipdir='d:\tcpip\tmp\unzip'
say unzipdir
error=SysMkDir(unzipdir)
rc=sysopenobject(unzipdir,icon,true)
rc=sysopenobject(unzipdir,icon,true)
fileit = directory(unzipdir)
unzip arg(1)
exit

Just change the unzipdir to meet your needs and change the unzip arg(1) to the appropriate pkzip arguments.

Try FM/2 (now as freeware available at Hobbes). This File manager has a nice integration of most of the available archivers arround.
