Would anyone out there be interested in a tutorial on writing a Presentation Manager program using EMX? I've decided to try writing a tutorial (this is my first attempt at such a thing) based on a program I'm in the process of developing.
The tutorial would be aimed at people somewhat familiar with the basic concepts of PM programming, but who are having trouble translating what they know into a usable piece of software. The only tutorials out there I've seen so far, do a great job at explaining the basics of PM and how to create a window, but there was never enough info showing how to make that window into a functioning program that does something useful. This tutorial skims the surface of basic PM concepts and goes into more detail about creating the rest of the program.
It's html based and would include source files. To follow along with it you would need a dialog editor and a project tool. The tools I'm useing were downloaded some time ago, and I can no longer find the URLS I used. DrDialog is an IBM EWS (employee written software) program. I can't seem to find where IBM put the link to their EWS directory. As a project tool, I'm using Project Manager 1.04. I could have sworn I got that off of Hobbes, but I can't find it there now.
Post a reply if you're interested in this type of tutorial, and/or you know of updated URLs where DrDialog and Project Manager are available for download.
