1. Front Panel Connectors?

I have projects to install/use a mini-itx board into non-traditional computer boxes. I have most of the parts for most of the projects. One part(s) that is missing for all the projects is a way to show hard drive activity, power light, on/off and reset switch. Normally these cables/leds/switches would be part of the computer box. Since I am not useing traditional computer boxes (LostInSpace Jupiter 2 toy, OS/2 Warp ver 4 box and a TI-99/4A console), they do not have them. If you you know of any place that might have them, it would be great if you let me know. Thanks in advance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What you need is the led w/ wire and connector? You could easily buy an led from radio shack and soldier on two pieces of wire and probably find the connector there as well. The motherboard should still have risers for hd activity.

Thanks. I will check out Radio Shack for the leds and connectors.

Risers for the hard drive activity? In the same area where one connects the leds/switch cables, one of the leds is to show that the hard drive is being accessed/used. Would one not find the same led/connector at Radio Shack?

Would one also find an on/off and reset switch at Radio Shack?

I have checked http://www.mouser.com for parts but it has a large supply of parts and not very easy to search. I found something similar in the 'VCD' area (IIRC).

"Dear Sir,
You can use for hdd activity and power two simple leds from any shop. For the
switches, if it's an atx psu, then the same switch you use for reset you can also
use for power. Try RadioShack or something similar.

Best Regards,

I checked my local Radio Shack but they did not have any connectors or led's (at least the one near me does not).

I have found that http://www.mouser.com has led's. I am suppose to be receiving their catalogue to check the photos of led's and connectors.

I have noticed at http://www.frontx.com has connectors similar to the ones used on main boards. This page - http://www.frontx.com/order_c.html - seems to have what I am looking for. I will check it out and order some to see if it works.
