There is a new technology from Texas Instruments called DLP; digital light technology. If they are used in computers, would eCS work with it? Would SNAP be used with it?

"Digital Light Processing™ is the world's only all-digital display chip and a key ingredient in the best digital projectors available today. DLP® technology uses an optical semiconductor to recreate source material with fidelity analog systems cannot match. Our Flash demo will show you how it works." (copied from the site).

Hi,

...well DLP AFAIK is used to replace CRT or LCD or "classic" projectors/beamers. So it shouldn't be a problem to eCS or Snap as they have nothing to do wit it:
Some manufacturer will build a "display device" that uses DLP inside, but... that device has to be attached to something that the pictures come from... which most probably will be something using a digital signal to benefit from the DLP advantages (just like DVI connectors on graphic cards). Your TFT or CRT also has a VGA or DVI connector, right? They won't leave you standing with the panel or tube only... that's the same for the manufacturer of a - say - DLP TFT display. The manufacturer MUST provide you with a way of attaching your stuff to the display, otherwise no consumer will buy that thing. So in matters of attaching a PC to a DLP display device, there should be the least problems.

Greetings
Thomas
