It's been a long time since I've done networking with Ver. 3, so I can't give you step by step instructions, but hopefully this will help. Assuming that you are doing a peer to peer network with the NT4 workstations, on the OS/2 side you will want to have installed TCP/IP, OS/2 Netbios, and OS/2 Netbios over TCP/IP. You will probably have to install the Netbios over TCP/IP last, and you will have to probably then change the number from 0 to 1. On the NT side, you will want to have TCP/IP installed and the MS file sharing client and server services (installing these services should get you the correct protocols at the same time for NT). Create matching user IDs and passwords, with matching permissions on each machine, and you should be able to share and map out drives using 'net use' commands, and run your backups. For the Novell side, you should be able to install the IPX/SPX protocols on the OS/2 machine, and the Novell client, and then see drives on the Novell server. You used to be able to download the Novell client for free from IBM's Software Choice page, but I no longer see it listed. Try searching for Netware and Novell on hobbes.nmsu.edu and you will find a variety of things.

Here are some links that I found helpful inorder to Migrate our High Speed Scanner Systems( OS/2 Client to Imageplus/AS400) and IVR Systems(DirectTalk/2) to an NT/2000 Domain.

Links

http://donyoung.us/os2peer.html
http://www.haynes97.freeserve.co.uk/os2tont.htm
Go to http://www.os2voice.org Seacrh for the January 2001 Issue. OS/2 Logon to Routed NT domain.

I will be publishing my work to consolidate this Login issue for both V 3 and 4 of the OS/2 Client.

Two and more flavours of Version 3 came out( w/ Dialup software only, BBS Days) , OS/2 Version 3 for Windows intergrated the to an existing OD/ Win3.1 System (w/ Dialup software only, still BBS Days) for Networking IBM came out with OS/2 Version 3 Warp Connect ( w/ LAN and Internet connectivity and Dialup), check the CDROM for the Novell client.

As stated in another post, you must decide what you want to do.

Peer to Peer on the OS/2 Warp 3 Client, Use TCP/IP and Netbios over TCP/IP.. Requires Client incase access to Novell Shares are needed.

Login to the NT Domain in which on the OS/2 Peer/Requester is required per the above links.

Authenticate on Novell. Regarding the Novell Client for OS/2 2.11 or 2.12 (going by memory). I know the client was apart of the OS/2 Version 4 install as choice.

Hope this is useful.

Cheers

Just wondering but, did you get any futher with solving your problem. The Warp 3 system you're running on what is the system level on it and is it today connected to any network? Reason for asking is that you wrote that it was a stand alone system so it might missing important code parts to get it to run in a network and there add on installations has to be done.
