I am trying to install OS2 Warp v3 on an IBM Intellistation (300GL).

I know that this system is compatible with OS/2 Warp 3 because IBM offers drivers for the specific model online but my problem is that I can't even install Warp.

I go through the 2 floppies for the CD-ROM install and get to the "Easy Setup"/"Advanced Setup" screen and shortly afterwards it complains that I do not have a large enough bootable partition to install Warp.

I know that the HDD is 4 GB but it seems that no matter how I partition the drive (even having the first partition smaller and 1024 cylenders) that it will refuse to install.

Can someone please help!

hello...
first Why are you using warp3.,
You have not gone far enough in the install processes...
when you get to the screen that says you do not have enought or
no partition with at least 120mb of free space.. just click enter..
this will bring you to a table that shows how or if the HD is partioned..
If its a clean HD then follow directions and partition it...
if you are only running os2 ver 3 then I would suggest making 2
even better 3 partitions..
c: for os2
d: for a manitenance partition
e: for all the programs...
Remember that only 4 primary partitions are allowed..
Also if you plan on having more then 1 OS or you follow my suggestion
and have a maintenance partition then you should install the Boot manager.
For os/2 ver 3 or even ver 4 you should have at least 1gig if you install
the complete OS... that gives you enough room for some extra software
that should be in the main partition.. ie: java 1.3.1 or 1.4.1
