I was originally started with Southwester Bell, who taken over by Yahoo, who was then taken over by AT&T.  I had been using my old POP and SMTP server settings for years.

Just the other day, I noticed I could no longer send email.  A visit to there web site stated that they were switching over to secure servers and it would be necessary for people to switch over.  However, easier said than done.  After more than 4 hours chatting over the internet and phone, I was finally able to resolve my problem.  However, since the techs are only familar with Windows, I had to get it working with Microsoft Outlook and Internet Explorer first.  Once done, I had had the setting for SeaMonkey.

To begin with, the SMTP server they had listed on their web page did not work.  This was the primary reason for the length of time it took for me to resolve this problem.

Here are the settings if anyone is interested.

If using a router, set your DNS IP's to

Primary: 68.94.156.1
Secondary: 68.94.157.1
Domain: sbcglobal.net

For your mailer settings

POP server: pop.att.yahoo.com
Secure connection: SSL

SMTP server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Secure connection: SSL

Incoming Mail Server port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server port: 465

Your POP3 User ID will be the full email address you have been using.

Hope this keeps some other unfortunate person from going through what I went through
