Since the events on Japan, I had contacted two OS/2 users I know from the community to see their status.
Achain (OS2.jp) and Ken Kinoshita (Prettypop software).
Both are fine.
Ken told me the he was on the 24th floor in Tokyo and was the longer earthquake he ever experience. He had to stay till next morning because trains were stopped but he is fine right now at his home.
Achai is fine too and haven't hear any bad news from OS/2 users in Japan. Because many power plants are down some electrical saving has to be done and it is possible going to affect the OS2.jp server. He will notify any news on twitter
http://twitter.com/os2jp posting the tweets as with @os2jp.
On Facebook, Herwig Bauernfeind told that Alex Taylor (

"Thanks to everyone who has expressed their concerns regarding the major earthquake here in Japan on Friday afternoon. For the record, I suffered nothing worse than some upended furniture and a few broken dishes (my town is well inland and up in the mountains). Power was out for around 24 hours after the quake, but it's now been restored, and things are slowly returning to normal. As regards the problems with the nuclear station on the coast, I'm (currently) well outside the affected zone, but I'll continue to keep an eye on it.
