There is a lot of silence about the Qt port.
As Nokia just changed the license model of Qt to LGPL I hope this will help to update the Qt 3.3.x Port to Qt 4.5.
Is there anything we can do to make this fly (beside the bounty?).
I actually don't know which compiler has been used in the past for Qt, but as Paul updated GC to 4.3.x (seems to work quite good) and also OpenWatcom get's an update (1.8 rc2 is out) this might help to get some developers working on a new Qt version for OS/2.
There are a lot of applications using Qt so it would be great to get a new version of it.
Hi - there has been some discussion about this on IRC in #netlabs. A couple of us are interested in taking a look at it seeing how much of the os2-specific code from 3.3.x could be reused in a 4.x port. I do plan on taking a look someday - just not sure exactly when... FYI I've used GCC 3.3.5 in the past to compile Qt - haven't tried it yet with a newer GCC.
On the subject of GCC - after spending countless hours trying to fix dllexport/dllimport with Seamonkey/Thunderbird, I think I'm finally getting close to a solution, then I might have some time to look at other things (like Qt).
Cheers,
Paul.
