The existing developers who are working on the Mozilla line of products for OS/2 and eComStation, i.e., Firefox, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey, are looking for help. According to Peter Weilbacher, they no longer have the resources to follow all the changes done to the Mozilla code on OS/2. This has already been a problem for FF 3.5 (and the reason why @font-face doesn't work) and will be even more true for the version after that. In addition, Peter hasn't had a stable OS/2 enviroment over the last months, which has made building and development hard. If you have good C and C++ skills, you are welcome to join the team. Please be aware that Mozilla apps are rather complex, so contributing calls for a longer commitment and some dedication. If you are willing to follow through with this, please use the mozilla.dev.ports.os2 news group to contact the existing developers. The group is available at news.mozilla.org and many other news servers. (0) Comments |
