Django

(1/1)

Anyone familiar with django?

https://www.djangoproject.com/

Is it available for OS/2?

Martin Iturbide:
Hi

I haven't hear anything about it on the OS/2 news that I post here.

It seems that this frameworks run on Python 3 and Python 2.7.  According to some news a Python 2.7.2 port is available for OS/2.
But I can not know what else does this framework requires.

Django looks very nice to create database-driven websites, I was just reading about it on Wikipedia.  Maybe the best way to get out of the doubt is for someone with some experience with python to try it out on OS/2.

Regards

Looks like it should work as we have all prerequisites.

2.7.2??? Everyone having installed yum/rpm has 2.7.6. And the ones not having yum/rpm can of course install python from the zip file.

It does run on OS/2, but what exactly are you trying to archive?
