Hi Gang,

I'm wondering how hard it would be to come up with a REXX replacement for the unix shell script pstoraster that is used by CUPS?

My REXX is a bit rusty, so I thought I'd ask here if someone could take a look - a sample of the shell script is at http://smedley.info/pstoraster

The use of a unix shell is a PITA and (I think) the cause of several users having problems with CUPS.

Thanks in advance,

Paul.

Doesn't look very difficult and resembles REXX code that I have created in PDFMergeNX for "direct" distilling (without using  ePDF).

However I need to check what several details in the script do exactly as my shell script knowledge is rather Huh

Kind regards,
Herwig

Any questions see me on IRC Smiley the other problem(?) is that ghostscript needs to be able to accept input on stdin, and the output will go to stdout - I don't know if this is a problem or not??
