changing ArcaOS boot screen
« on: December 03, 2017, 11:18:34 pm »
I wanted to change the ArcaOS boot screen to this cleaned up OS/2 boot screen that I made:

However I don't have MAKELOGO, is there an easier way to convert this to the appropriate format?

Hi

I think you can use PMView to save the image under the right format. I don't have my machine right here, but I think it was some format that PMView assigned the .LGO file extension.

Then you rename it and replace the Boot logo file.

As Martin mentioned, PMView can open, edit, convert files to LGO format.
To replace the bootlogo ensure you use 640 x 480 pixels, 300 x 300 dpi. I don't think the pixel height and depth has changed from the early days.
