All of our multi core machines have 4 Gb and the minimum ram on the others is 2 Gb.

Parameters
-Duser.home=f:\java-apps\projectlibre-162 -Xms128m -Xmx768m -jar projectlibre.jar
If you have 2 or 4Gb memory then you don't have problems with -Xmx768m, there is enough room. VIRTUALADDRESSLIMIT is an important item in it. For Java however you need physical memory. May be its time to change motherboard, its over 10 years now, but still functional and okay up to now.
You can make your own icon with pictogram editor, its somewhere in your OS/2 installation part. I regularly use wptools checkini with /c. But thanks for the hints, will try it.

Managed today to install DataCrow and run it without stalling or so.

I'm busy with a page for my homepage with as usual a file with cmd files and an icon. I hope I can put it up today, otherwise check it later.
You can find the page here http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e37.htm

Managed some time ago this year to install DataCrow and run it without stalling or so. But I had problems with importing pictures. There is a warning on the official website. According the website its some incompatibility between Java from Oracle and OpenJDK. But we don't have a choice. To make a long story short, I found out that PNG images are read and saved in the database. If you go to the database and you peak around you will find your images as....JPG. But those are not accepted when you want to import them, so I wonder what's wrong. I have updated my website.

An other problem was downloading. The author has moved to an other web location and with this move he erased all files. The only available are the ones for minimum Java 7. I wrote about it and now the 3.12.5 upgrade version is also available. But this is downgrading and I haven't test it. You can download version 4.0.1 from my site. Its a huge file, ouch for my web space... You can find the page here http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e37.htm

The list is growing and growing  ;D

Java Workflow Editor, Enhydra JaWE (Java Workflow Editor) is the first open source graphical Java workflow process editor fully according to WfMC specifications supporting XPDL as its native file format.
I downloaded and installed successfully the program. There are some demo's;

I have added a new program to the growing collection, its JGPSTrackEdit. JGPSTrackEdit is a tool for editing gps tracks and planning (multiple days) tours (GPS track editor).
I did test it with a question in mind which route had more meters to cover because in the end of the year I have to cycle that track daily. So nice opportunity for testing. I was amazed that I got that good maps, but you have to be connected to the internet for it. So a lot of that program is just also working in OS/2-eCS, which is good news.

Again a new program added to the list, it is TTFEdit. TTFEdit is a GPL editor for TrueType fonts.

That's it for today and have fun!

I have added a new program to the list of Java programs which run in our implementation of Java.
This time it is an office program with the name GanttProject
The picture below shows the program in Dutch, but there is also English and a lot of other languages. It did switch automatic at startup to Dutch. If you like an other language you can set it up in the preferences.
I know that there is a javaw, but I like to see what's happening. In the download you will find a cmd file with java, but you can replace that with javaw if you like.

You can find the program on my site at http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e62.htm

Have fun!

I got this as result from a try and error with PMD

Not a fancy screen.... PMD is a source code analyzer. You can find some more on my page http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e63.htm.

I agree that my cmd file in the download can be arranged differently, but as it is more a kind of switch box I let this to the user in finding his/her own workable version. Lets see with what you can come up with! But as far as I did test, the stuff works.

I have a new program, its doing something with pictures this time. That list is growing ;-) Its called Bric

It works, but on some points its still not bug free. The preview option is not working and also file loading is not working properly, but it will load if you push the program hard enough.

You can find it on my homepage next to all other programs which do something with pictures http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e64.htm

Have fun!

 Hey Joop,

  Thanks for posting all these java apps! I like the calculators you show and it inspired me to look for my all-time favorite - the HP15C. I actually found it here: http://hp15c.com/HP15C.jar and it runs great with Java6 too...

Thanks to David for posting the link to the HP15C;

More info on my homepage http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e67.htm

When you are on my homepage you can see in the menu that both HP emulators are next to each other. Now what's the best? Hmmm, difficult. The thing I like is that with the HP12C you have only the machine and you can zoom it up or down. However the HP15C does have a test and some other functions. Both are complicated calculators and I have another one on test. Also a HP. If your going to look for calculators, there are hundreds out there, all written in Java.

Thanks again David for your posting.

Hi Joop,

Thanks for the Casio FX702P which is almost the same as my FX720P which I still use with some of the engineering programs I wrote years ago.

I have added a nice tool to the growing list of Java programs. Its called OmegaT and it is a Computer Assisted Translation tool;

You can find more on my homepage http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e68.htm

It knows what my language is, so it starts in the right language. Nice. The program supports more languages, also English ;-). This time it does give a help page when you press the right button. So it looks good. Have fun.
