I have contacted the developer, they know of the problem and believed they solved it. With my mail I could proof otherwise. A part of Jmol is compiled with Java version 1.7, this is the reason that it won't work with our version of OpenJDK version 1.6. Now lets wait what will be done.

I got today a newer version in which they believe the problem is solved. I promised to do some testing and come back to him. They are afraid that due to specialized programs that they can't check on versions anymore, ie we might miss the boat due to the version number of our implementation of jdk and OS. Lets see...

In contact with the developer of JMOL they answered me that they didn't understand why the language pack was compiled for Java 7. Lets wait and see if the problem gets a update.

Managed today to install DataCrow and run it without stalling or so.

I'm busy with a page for my homepage with as usual a file with cmd files and an icon. I hope I can put it up today, otherwise check it later.
You can find the page here http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e37.htm

I have updated my homepage again today ;-) I have installed JabRef and it runs now successfully. Did enter a book and there where no complaints or bug reports.  You can find it here http://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e38.htm.

I have updated again my homepage. I had tested Night Vision some time ago but had not the time to make it public.

jAlbum 12.2.4 is the last version that runs on Java 6.
I downloaded this one, big file due to 4 complete browsers for Linux 32 and 64 bit, Apple and Windows. It starts, but that is it. I was unable to edit one of the demo pictures, got a very long list with errors.

Regards,
Joop

Hi Joop.

Maybe you can add "Java Screen Recorder" on your site.
https://code.google.com/p/java-screen-recorder/

It works fine to create to screen videos of eCS-OS2.

Hi Martin,
Have it already on my download disk, but its still waiting, too many programs still on hold for testing. I believe I have another two on disk, so that makes three for testing. May be I have to write an article in which they are compared ;-), just kidding.

Regards.
