.... complete Off Topic.

I just get into the Lenovo site to see the different Laptop and Desktop models, since I wasn't visiting in a long time.

So I as an exercise I tried to configure the most expensive Laptop (without or with the basic software possible) with all the hardware stuff that can be possible to configure.

So, for the moment the winner is the Lenovo ThinkPad W701ds (with discrete graphic) with all the hardware stuff, the price is USD $6,909.00.

  • Intel Core i7-920XM Processor Extreme Edition (8M Cache, 2.00 GHz)
  • NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M 128-core CUDA parallel computing processor 1GB (dedicated)
  • 16 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz SODIMM Memory (4 DIMM)
  • Ultranav + Number Pad + Fingerprint Reader + Pantone Color Sensor + WACOM Digitizer w/ Stylus
  • Camera, 2.0 MP
  • Dual 128GB RAID Enabled Solid State Hard Drives, Serial ATA
  • Compact Flash (PCIe) + Express Card(34mm)
  • 9 cell Li-Ion Battery
  • Bluetooth w/ antenna
  • Intel Centrino Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250

I think all eCS user should get this machine and set it as the default for eComstation.
haha.. just kidding.

So, is there any other laptop configuration (Lenovo or not) that can rise up this ? (without software)

I had reach $7,221.65 with the T510 but I think that configuring 8 external LCDs is cheating...

Hi onlineuser2

Looks nice but I would not comment on using it with eCS without looking at some specs first eg what processor, chipset, nic, video and audio is used.

Regards

Heck, I can't even get it (eCS) to boot from a non UEFI BIOS and Intel 55 chip-set. LOL

Hi

I'm running eComStation 2.1 on the Intel DH55TC (which is based on the Intel H55 Express Chipset) with an Intel i5 Processor and works fine.
