2.0-GA Can't get rid of eComCenter configuration window

After successful install eCS brings up WPS with a window labeled "eComCenter Configuration" which works fine when you go through its install process for it, but then on every following re-boot the same window keeps coming back up and has to be manually closed. I've tried removing it from the start-up folder and that has no effect. Anybody know how I can completely eliminate this feature? I prefer using "ecenter" but would be satisfied if I could just get rid of that eComCenter configuration permanently.
thanks for any ideas, klipp

Hi klipp
I have not seen that problem myself - but i never install eWP and do prefer eComCenter so that gets installed.
As you have removed "eComCenter Configuration" from the Startup folder - what was it doing there anyway? mine is in Programs -> Utilities - I wonder if you have the following config.sys line:-
SET AUTOSTART=PROGRAMS,TASKLIST,FOLDERS,WARPCENTER
If "Yes" remove the ,WARPCENTER bit and see if that helps.
Regards
Pete

Hi Pete, I just have SET AUTOSTART=PROGRAMS, TASKLIST, FOLDERS ! It is also located in \PROGRAMS\UTILITIES -- I've tried removing both but the dammned window still re-appears with each re-boot. I've also tried re-installing a couple of times and can't change th outcome.
thanks for the response, klipp

Hi,
As I haven't installed eCS v2.0GA yet I cant look but try
SET AUTOSTART=TASKLIST,FOLDERS
And that you have
SET RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY
on the assumption the program is not in the startupfolder :-)
Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion IBManners, I tried it and it made no difference. Hard to figure out, but sooner or later (probably later) I'll get it! ---- thanks again

Well, I don't have an answer! Here's what I did to try and figure this out:
First of all the install was a migration install (to see if migration was reliable)on a Backup/test partition and was 100% successful in regards to the migration and install of 2.0 GA. The exception being the re-appearance of the above described configuration window on each following re-boot.
So, thinking "Migration problems" I did a clean new 2.0 GA install with a format (JFS)! Worked great! Then I installed several programs including Samba Server, all were functional! Then I did a Re-Install doing a migration with no format figuring the problem would show up once more -- Everything migrated correctly and everything from the original install has been re-created and works.
Scares me, and I'm Fearless!

If you know the process name, look for a RUN line in the config.sys file. The installer could simply not have removed it from the config.sys file causing it to be executed every start. Failing that, check for it in the startup.cmd file (assuming one exists).
Best,
Robert
