I'm looking for a 3D Computer Assisted Design program that will run under OS/2. Old or new, I don't care.

I have been using BlueCAD for a while, (and I still am), but it is strictly 2D and has a number of annoying bugs.

Is there any 3D CAD program that will fit the bill? It doesn't have to be native... as long as it will run.

Thanks...

ISTR an OS/2 native version of MicroStation was floating somewhere. Never got my hands on this, though (too bad).

There's also something interesting here: http://www.sibbald.com/windows/windows01.html. Seems some AutoCAD 10 for OS/2 exists.

Methinks some good old OS/2 abandonware is still in this world...

I remember AutoCAD for OS/2... but I can not remember if it was 2D or 3D... nor have I seen a copy of it around for many years... I had a copy of it way back when... though my version was for DOS... which did run under OS/2... maybe I should look around for a useable, old, copy of "AutoCAD for DOS".

I'll check into ISTR too...  though I have never heard of of that one.

Thanks for the info, MentoreCheesy

ACAD10 for DOS does have wire 3D *but* running under Panorama or SNAP is rather useless because it is stuck at standard VGA 640x480. I used to be able to run it with Matrox drivers because Acad10 had a special VESA driver to enable 1024x768. Unless there's away to run in this mode, it is not the programme to use.

AFAIR cadvance (Win31) has a 3D button. But I never used it with anything else than simple 2D drawings.

This is the third part of CAD series... it doesn't say how to get it but it says Microstation 95 is OS/2 full 3D CAD.
