Hello!

I tried to use the latest clamav 0.97.2 build but as soon I try to run a scan using clamdscan, Clamd issue following error:
LibClamAV Error: fmap: cannot map file descriptor 12
LibClamAV Error: CRITICAL: fmap() failed

I checked mmap.dll but it is at correct level...
Any idea why it doesn't work ?
Thanks

Remy

Hi,

I updated ClamAV WPI package 0.96.4 to correct an installation issue while dll copy cmd file didn't run
http://remydodin.levillage.org/outils/Clamav-0_96_4-4c.wpi

Here is an alpha WPI package of ClamAV 0.97.2 which should include required dlls. This is an alpha build due it provide fmap() error on my system
If you would like try it, use it under a test system and please give feedback and if some have the same issue and found why, it would be very interesting to have the package updated with the correction. Thanks

I'm guessing you're testing my build? Glad it works

Allan provided me this zip build link.
I think it is due download link is on sourceforge ecsports.
Thanks having ported it.

There is one minor issue about a message at end of DB refresh on demand which looks to be a try to re-init the db but this is done from a clamdscan command under my GUI  Wink

Cheers/2

When installing ClamAV 0.97.3 , be sure to delete clamd_GUI.conf file under ClamAVGUI, restart ClamAVGUI + go into parameters and use new default + save and then run download database (Freshclam). Be sure not having left an older Clamav.dll under a libpath (e.g. ..\ecs\dll or ..\os2\dll)
This will put database into the new path. Start Clamd after update

If clamav virus definition database files aren't into the path location, you'll get following kind of message under clamd window:
LibClamAV Error: cl_load(): Can't get status of C:/programs/clamav/share/clamav
ERROR: Can't get file status

In fairness, I just compiled it, based on patches from Yuri's 0.97.2 build...
