Recover from back-up
« on: April 05, 2016, 04:30:52 pm »
I have 3 back-up files that I copied onto my Linux computer in 2004 from a Syquest cartridge and forgot about them and have since given away the Syquest drive.

The three files are back up copies from a OS/2 Warp 4 computer I was using in the late 90's. I don't remember how I backed them up. I might have used BackMaster for OS/2 or used the Syquest program. I have sent the files via Google Drive to several data recovery companies and they said the could not help.  I have examined the files using a hex file viewer but the data makes no sense as to how it was created etc.

The data is most likely Business Basic program files as well as data files, word processing files and pretty sure no video or audio files.

The files are:
DOCS1      DAT     39,158,784   10-20-98  9:47p  DOCS1.DAT
C990513R DAT     65,092,608   05-13-99 12:58a C990513R.DAT
FP10BCKU DAT   108,315,648   03-29-99  9:46p  FP10BCKU.DAT

If any one knows of where or who might be able to help and I am willing to pay or contribute for the trouble.

This files DAT  could be the BackAgain Pro/2 program, But they can also be of other different programs.
