What are the configuration changes which need to be done to get Internet working on Ecomstation 1.2 / 2.0 running on Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 Spk1 running on Win Xp Spk3 ?

  Host - Win XP Spk3 running on a personal computer (Physical PC).
           The Host(Physical PC) has an Internet connection thru Ethernet adapter network.

  Guest - Ecomstation 1.2 / 2.0 running on Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 Spk1.

Hi.

Did you install the correct network adapter on the eComStation virtual machine? (Intel 2104x/2114x 10/100 mbps Ethernet - V 3.00 (DC21X4.os2))

Possible this page will give you hint.

It's a problem of domains and user names. IIRC, you need to set the eCS this way:

workgroup = your domain name
user = your name in your winblows

Then you should be able to connect to the web from your virtual machine. It worked with my eCS running on winblows XP on our institute web. I am using Innotek VPC but it should work in the VPC fouled by Big Bill, too.

Well, those have nothing, at all, to do with internet access. Those are for LAN configuration.

None actually, unless you are attempting to restore a real system backup to a virtual system (probably NOT recommended, unless you really know what you are doing). If you install eCS 2.0 using the Virtual system installer option, it should do it right. Of course, you also need to set up VPC to expose the proper interface to the guest. In the settings, try different options for the networking. If I remember correctly, the NAT option is the easiest, and most likely to work for internet access. It may not work for LAN operation, but should give you a starting point.
