Information

bWarp (Broken Warp) is an experiment based on AWarp. It will only work on a Virtual Machine.

The goal of this experiment is to create a reduced version of OS/2 Warp 4.52 on a VirtualBox VM that will include only the necessary for:

  • Boot the OS
  • Load PM and WPS
  • Run cmd and PM applications
  • Ability to run REXX scripts
  • DHCP working
  • Ping www.google.com
  • CD/DVD Support
  • JFS / HPFS Support
  • E.EXE and Warpcenter is still there

The rest of the OS will be gone as non vital.

There is not propose on this experiment that just opening a "Can of Worms". So you should not worry about this project or be scared that the world will end, because it will not happen yet.

Warning

I'm not putting a gun against your head to use this. Do not use it, it is broken. This is just an experiment with OS/2 Warp 4.52 and it is not intended to be used on productive or critical environments.

It is not stable and it will never have formal support.

This distribution sucks and will never be supported. Do not demand for support, you may ask on the forum for it, but do not expect a solution to any of those problems.

This is not to be distributed. It is an experiment that requires a license of OS/2 Warp 4, eComStation or ArcaOS.
