Relish is a productivity application that provides calendar, to do list and phone book.

Relish Net was released as freeware.

Relish Your Time!

Relish provides a convenient and easy way to manage your time. Your calendar, to do list, and phone book are fully integrated to give you total reliability. At the same time they are also independent which gives you the maximum in flexibility.

Your calendar can reflect reality because there aren't time slots to squeeze things into. Relish lets you start when you want and go for as long as you want with double-booking as necessary. You can categorize commitments, repeat events, print schedules, run programs, dial calls, prioritize to do's. The advantages of drag-and-drop and desktop objects add to the usability of this fabulous productivity tool.

RelishWeb will make HTML documents of your Relish information. You can use it to publish a calendar of events for your church group, for example.

The Relish Version 2.23 update is available for downloading. You'll need this update to work with RelishWeb.

Type-to-search problem? You may have noticed that FixPaks 1, 2, and 3 for OS/2 Warp 4 breaks the type-to-search functionality in Relish. This is the ability to "just start typing" to search for an entry on your schedule or in your phone book without using an intermediate dialog - and having the entry matching the text you type scroll into view. You can find out more about both the problem and how to get the fix that IBM has issued. Want your Relish data elsewhere? Normally, Relish stores its database of notes in the directory where the Relish software is installed. There are some situations, however, where it is desirable to store the database in a different directory. Relish provides several options for doing this.

Manage Time and Tasks with Ease

Relish offers a flexible approach to scheduling:

  • Appointments,
  • Meetings,
  • Notations,
  • Phone Calls,
  • Programs to Run, and
  • To Do items

You don't have to force your commitments to fit into arbitrarily defined blocks of time. You decide the starting and ending times, and any duration is fine. They can overlap, if necessary. In fact, you can also have meetings and such on your calendar that aren't actually time-scheduled and just float along. It's really up to you.

Make notes with pertinent who, where, what, when, and why information. Relish does all the rest, automatically. Naturally, Relish can't attend meetings, but it will dial phone calls and run other programs and command files for you.

Search for free time. Reference the integrated telephone/address book. Print anything in view, and calendar-style, too. The functionality of type-to-search lets you just start typing to find a note or phone book entry, without using an intermediate dialog. Time saving features and thorough context-sensitive help are always at your fingertips.

There's so much drag-and-drop support

Reschedule an appointment by dragging it to a new date or time... Customize colors and fonts by dragging from the Workplace Shell palettes... Print the schedule for any day by dragging the date to a desktop printer... Create new entries by dragging icons from the note palette... It's really that easy.

Convenience is really the key

Even when Relish is minimized or hidden, a small monthly calendar can remain on your desktop for reference. Any day's schedule is just one mouse click away, with the ability to add to or revise your schedule. What a time-saver!

With Relish, you can quickly see what's happening on a particular day or any time period of your choice. Select from standard views to see:

  • Today
  • Any Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Period - whatever range of times and dates you need
  • To Do List -automatically prioritized by the importance you've assigned to each item
  • Floating Notes - those items not tied to any particular time or date
  • Overdue List - things you've put off
  • Phone Book
  • Free Time - for when you're available

There's more! You can create ad hoc views by looking up specific information. You can single out your phone calls, for example, or your appointments with the doctor. The possibilities for searching your schedule are practically endless. If you don't want to see programs set to run when you look at your schedule, you can do that too.

What fun! Relish has Buns!

Relish Buns(TM) are desktop objects that give you a lot of flexibility in viewing your Relish information. There are buns for the standard ways you'll want to look at information, such as a week, overdue items, or phone book, for example. Use them just as you would Relish - or make your own to match your needs.

There are so many possibilities... You could, for instance, have one Phone Book bun for just your Family and another for your church group. And, you might want a bun with your child's soccer schedule. Put these special buns where ever you want them - spread them in whatever fashion meets your needs.

When you only want the soccer schedule, open that bun and there it is. Need a printed copy? Just drag your bun right to a printer without even opening it. Add a soccer related event to Relish and the customized soccer bun will be updated automatically and instantly, right before your eyes!

And There's More

Take immediate action from any reminder: OK, reschedule, defer, attach a memo, change the particulars, even change the type (say from a Phone Call to a Meeting). No need to go back to your schedule; no extra steps to waste your time.

Reminders are automatic. Relish will always remind you as obligations require your attention. Nothing extra to do when you schedule the commitments. Reminders are assured, no matter what programs you have running. No need even to be running Relish at the time.

Relish exploits OS/2 to give unmatched flexibility in coordinating and managing commitments. Relish takes full advantage of OS/2's multi-threading, multi-tasking environment by using a client-server architecture even in single user versions. It works in the background so you don't have to waste time or remember to do things like reconcile and save.

Relish Net Takes Scheduling Even Further

In a networked environment, Relish Net is what you need. Not only do you get all the personal features of Relish, you get great, instantaneous group scheduling as well. Manage people, places, and things with ease you never thought possible - with privacy levels to fit your needs.
