Developing versions called NEWDOS, DOS 5, DOS 286, Big DOS, CP/DOS, developed from DOS 3.2 and MT-DOS.

OS/2 1.0 SE.
Announced with the PS/2 in April, and delivered in December 1987. 16-bit system for 80286 protected mode, multitasking, memory management, protection, dynamic linking, (incomplete) 16-bit API, DOS support

OS/2 1.0 EE. Communications (SNA, X.25, LAN Manager), database (Query manager, SQL)
