Job Description

The Software Engineer is a key team member in delivering quality software products to the customer. You will provide quality software engineering services towards improving software product extensibility, reliability and ease of maintenance.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

(40%) Design and develop Software Programs utilizing the C++ programming language in an OS2 Warp 3/OS2 Warp 4 environment using the IBM Visual Age C++ compiler and supporting tools

(20%) Analyze and comprehend Software Requirements, Specifications and Design

(20%) Conduct Software Testing at all levels û unit, module and system level testing, participates and conducts code reviews and analysis

(10%) Design Software Modules utilizing Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns using the UML software design language

(10%) Write Technical Documents to describe Software Design and/or Write concise User Manuals for end-users.


In order to qualify for the Software Engineer role, you must meet the following criteria:

BachelorÆs Degree from a 4 year college or university
A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience or equivalent
combination of education and experience A minimum 2 years of experience in a Windows based development environment such as Windows NT/2000/XP Object-Oriented Programming and design methodologies Multi-Threaded programming and experience with Multi-Process Systems Memory debugging and general software debugging techniques
