Changelog:

ASTEROID 2.41 - changes from 2.40
===================================
+ Added Italian (Italiano) to the Language menu; all six
languages now supported: English, Deutsch, Espanol,
Nederlands, Francais, Italiano.
+ Stack size increased from 12288 to 65536 bytes.
+ DESCRIPTION removed from .def file (BLDLEVEL is in RCDATA).
+ Build flags: removed -bm (was harmless but not needed for PM),
switched from -d2 -od (debug) to -Oaxt -d0 (optimised release).
+ Build script (compile.cmd) auto-detects WATCOM installation,
writes full build log to compile-wat.log, and exits non-zero
on failure.
+ Output directory renamed from bin-wat to bin.
+ BLDLEVEL updated to 2.41.

ASTEROID 2.40 - OS/2 port release notes
========================================
* Re-released with an updated Open Watcom build (wlink/wrc/wasm,
resource-bound PM application).
+ Version and author no longer shown in a popup on startup; the
game opens directly into the game window.
+ Removed the "@1993 TODD CROWE" message from the bottom of the
game window.
+ The game window now always starts at a 1024x768 client area
and is centered (clamped to the screen if it is smaller).
+ The title bar now reads "ASTEROID" without the version.
+ Help - About reports this release as version 2.40.
+ Clean compile with no warnings under Open Watcom (-w4); the
IPF help now compiles with no wipfc warnings.
+ The executable carries a BLDLEVEL 2.40 signature (RCDATA
resource), so "bldlevel ASTEROID.EXE" reports vendor/revision.
+ Added an Options - Language menu that switches the complete
interface between English, Deutsch, Espanol, Nederlands and
Francais (sin-accents ASCII text, as required by the game's
bitmap fonts). The choice persists between sessions. The
language names themselves stay in their own language so the
correct one can always be found.
+ Fixed the Options menu layout: the "Fire Rate" submenu used a
Borland-style "-1, MIA_DISABLED" declaration that Open Watcom
compiles into a column-break separator item, pushing the
Shield, Mouse, Keys and Language items into a second column.
The resource line is now "SUBMENU \"~Fire Rate\", IDM_FIRERATE"
and the item is disabled at startup in code when rapid fire is
not selected.
