RSYNC
« on: June 07, 2016, 01:01:56 pm »
Anyone familiar with RSYNC?

I setup RSYNC over 10 years ago and it worked very well for synchronising directories on different servers.

Unfortunately I can't remember how to set it up... I have a %ETC%\rsyncd.conf and run rsync in daemon mode using

rsync --daemon

How can I tell if it starts?

Here's what happens when I try retreiving a file

rsync --dry-run -aPv rsync://pub@192.168.1.40/workarea/usr/test  /tmp
rsync: failed to connect to 192.168.1.40: Connection refused
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(97)

Also, Rsync over ssh does not work. I think we did the latest version of Rsync ???
