FF 38.x ArcaOS - speed
(1/1)
Remy:
Hi,
I found FF 38.X under ArcaOs very slower than FF under windows using the same connection and HW.
I then searched on internet to find some tweek to improve the speed.
- I have a fiber link which could go up to 75Mbps (from time to time and mostly near 50Mbps)
I found following link and changed following parms as suggested :
http://raccourcis.wiki/About:config_de_Firefox
Under " about:config "
network.http.pipelining : true (défaut : false )
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests : 60 (défaut : 32 )
network.http.max-connections : 192(défaut : 256 )
network.http.max-connections-per-server : 48(défaut : 15 )
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy : 42(défaut : 8 )
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server : 10 (défaut : 6 )
Activated experimental turbo mode (I do not know if this parm is helpfull or not !)
Adding new name with " booléenne " value :
browser.turbo.enabled : true
After FF restart, I didn't recognize it how fast it is (big step forward)
Regards.

In my firefox 38-8-0 config I am missing two values:
network.http.max-connections-per-server
browser.turbo.enabled
I have modified the others and the difference is substantial. Especially with the ebay pages, which slowed down a lot.
Thank you very much
Saludos

Hi Remy,
My FF 45.9 release does not all of these options, so I only modified the matching ones.
As you saw in my tcpip post I am looking at all the angles on this.
