Mini PCI wifi cards

I'm trying to figure out what mini PCI cards (for the T4x platform) would work well with OS/2--or really ArcaOS. Sort of thinking out loud.

#1 IBM mini PCI

Not to be confused (presumably) with the later IBM card that was based on Atheros instead of PRISM:

It appears this driver utilizes ibmprism.exe, although I don't have a source for the driver--I'll have to go deep diving on the internet to find one later. Weird how a modem is included... but I guess that's one good card to get and stuff it in my fleet of T41/42/43s.

#2 cisco aironet

Looks like Paul already has this in GenMac support.

If anyone has any other suggestions to good mini PCI wifi adapters let me know. I have noticed ArcaOS seems to handle some driver installations differently than OS/2. For instance, installing the IBM Audio Driver IV (for soundmax on T4x series) it just flat out fails; so I had to use the universal audio driver--which does work fortunately. Not sure if the same would be exhibited by manually installing one of the mini PCI wifi drivers.

What is in it? Use PCI.EXE to find out. I think most, of the T4x line has network drivers. Personally, I wouldn't bother trying to replace whatever is in it. You would be better off to get an external WiFi adapter, that connects to the wired NIC. They are usually handy for other things as well.
