Probable website downtime
« on: February 04, 2018, 09:36:19 am »
Hi All,

Just a heads up that my site will likely go down for approximately 2 weeks from February 16th, as I'm moving house, and our new house isn't heady yet, so we'll be off to a holiday house.  Whilst I'll have an internet connection, it's unlikely I'll be able to open port 80 to have the webserver running.

I'll try and get things back online ASAP. Any downloads hosted on dropbox will still be available in this time.

Cheers,

Paul

Good luck with the move Paul...during our house build we almost had to do a similiar move because the builder ran late with the construction and the local (city) inspection was not completed...luckily they managed to pull through.

Guys,

My website is currently down as we've moved out of our old house. I may be able to get things running from our rental house, depends if I can get access to the router or not :)

At this stage, downtime may extend as far as March 5th, I'll keep the forum updated on progress.

Cheers,

Paul.

Latest is we won't be in the house until the 9th of March - *hopefully* ADSL will be provisioned before we move in...

Cheers,

Paul

Update 2nd March. We're still in temporary accommodation, but the site is running for now ;) We move into the new house on Monday - I've now been advised that I can get cable broadband, which should be installed on Monday afternoon. Things should be back to normal by Tuesday all going well :)

OK, finally, things should be back online. The Telco only took 11 days longer to connect than I was initially advised. Connection speed is currently 36/1 - will hopefully be 100/2.4 early next week; and 100/40 in a few months.

Yes, I took the opportunity to install SSL certs from letsencrypt.org, but http://os2ports.smedley.id.au will auto-redirect to https://os2ports.smedley.id.au anyway.

There are some known issues with https://mantis.smedley.id.au not loading correctly (Stylesheet issue?) I'll try work on that over the weekend.

Cheers,

Paul

ok mantis is fixed, I had to edit the config file to point to https://mantis.smedley.id.au instead of http://mantis.smedley.id.au
