OS/2 and the PS/2 295
« on: March 29, 2018, 04:56:47 pm »
Hey all -- It would seem that the 8600 requires a special flavor of OS/2 to function properly.

Does anyone have any experience with OS/2 on the IBM PS/2 Server 195 or 295?

Thanks,
Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo

Absolutely no experience at all. However, I did spot this page http://ohlandl.ipv7.net/8600/Server_195.html which seems to indicate OS2 v1.3 and v2.1 could be installed successfully which leads me to think later versions of OS2 should also install.

What problem(s) are you seeing?

Regards

Pete

I ran a 295 back in 96. AS I Recall it was a OS2 2.x release

Fantastic piece of HW by the Way. Redundant dasd and special firmware. I still have MCA ADF Diskette
