Tried today Datacrow, it installed okay. Running is an other matter. Got once sys1808 005. Suspect that it has to do with setup program. After that no sys errors, but the program hangs as soon as the gui pops up. Nothing works there, you can click on everything, but nobody home.

FileBot seems to be running fine too.  Anybody free to try it deeper?

http://www.filebot.net/#download

"FileBot is the ultimate tool for organizing and renaming your movies, tv shows or anime, and music well as downloading subtitles and artwork. It's smart and just works. "

I hope to have time next week to try this java audio streaming software: http://www.subsonic.org/pages/index.jsp

The server is in java, I want to see if it runs on OS/2-eCS. The client (browser) uses flash, but I think it will also work for us.

Testing jOggPlayer I took a look at lzPack Java installer.

It works fine on OS/2-eCS OpenJDK, with a little visual exception on the number #5 screenshot, which shows the option page in a very little box.

If you're interested, Minecraft server runs flawlessly on OpenJDK 1.6 on ACP2. Phoenix kernel.

TV-Browser doesn't do good, its programmed for Sun's java. Also it was unable to make connection to the internet while this was up and running. Also I got this in my bugs file;

22:13:56 WARNING: TV-Browser was developed for Sun Java and may not run correctly with your Java implementation.

After that I had to restart the computer in enable to get rid of the command screen with the Java portion in it.

I had started the thing with one of my favorite command file, its just plain java -jar tvbrowser.jar. After that there seems to be some options, one is to ignore the test if its suns or not. But the second run did give me the libc panic.

Tried to run Jmol, but it looks like it doesn't recognize are Java.
I did try with version 1.42 , version 1.60ga and version 1.60ga5.
I get every time about the same line;

Is this with me only or do other users have the same results? They advertise that it will run woth every Java 1.4 and up. May be we have to do a wake-up call there ;-)

Hi.

I tried Jmol 14.2.4 and seems to be running ok. I'm using OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_25-b01-GA3) and I got "Jmol-14.2.4_2014.08.03-binary.zip"

I run jmol with"java -jar jmol.jar"

Tried it with ga3, no way, same message. Up to Jmol-14.2.2_2014.06.29-binary.zip it runs fine, only the last one gives errors. Seems something is broken. What version of Odin do you use? The combination Odin and ga3 give some errors in packages like ImageJ.

Hi,

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: org/jmol/translation/Jmol/nl/Messages_nl : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

This error indicates that the jar-file was compiled for JAVA 1.7.

MfG

Hi Martin,

try "java -jar tvbrowser.jar -ignorejvm"  to launch TVBrowser. Had the same issue with connecting to internet and -ignorejvm solved this.

cheers

JMOL version 14.2.14 won't run. I used Java 1.6 ga 5, odin 0.8.9 (2013-02-17).
I used java -Duser.home=I:\PROGRAMS\Jmol  -jar jmol.jar 2>jmol_14214_ga5-bugs.txt.
And this is the bug list;

Same message as previous update. Also www.jmol.org doesn't work anymore, you are redirected to an old sourceforge page. Don't know if this is just for today, may be server down or so. At this moment there is no way to obtain information about what's going on.
