Martin Iturbide:
Hi Joop

To upload a file on hobbes you need to log in (hobbes.nmsu.edu) with anonymous ftp as the old days.
You need to upload your files to "/pub/incoming". Once file "name.zip" and the other "name.txt".

Check the  "/pub/incoming" and can download a  .txt file to see how are being set up as example.

I personally had been updating files using a naming standard as like "SportsTracker_5-3-0.zip" or "GeoGebra_4-4-42-0.zip" but that is not mandatory.

README.TEMPLATE is the template for the text file, seems to have gone missing from /pub/incoming so attached.

Okay, done it, uploaded SportTracker and Geogebra to /pub/incoming, Succes. Let's see how it proceeds.

Today I have added a small program after a long time again. It is called CharMap;

We have already such a program, but this one is written in Java. I have to use it on my Linux system, real messy system (I know that I stand on some toes  :o, sorry for that). The program works in Java 11 and it does work also in our Java 6. I was afraid that our system might be to alien, but no, all fonts are listed. And as you can see in the picture it also find our clipboard.

You can find the program on my site in English (some sort) https://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6e174.htm or in Dutch https://joopn.home.xs4all.nl/os2ecs/ecs6n174.htm.

Have fun, keep on asking and see you later,
Regards

Hi Joop

I noticed your uploads.

I think that the system will reject "GeoGebra-Linux-Installer-4.4.42.0.tar.gz" since I have only seen is supports zip, wpi, pdf and exe.  I guess it will be deleted on the next batch process of the incoming directory. But let's see whats happens and we can fix it later, no worries.

Hi, I'm just checking the old news archive.

There used to be a Geometria version that used to run with our Java, but I can not find it anymore.
http://www.geocentral.net/geometria/

I guess that version 3.2 r258 used to run fine, but not sure about version 4.

If someone had saved the file or know where to get that version, please let me know.

Regards
