Like those. Songbird sounds more like a good rebranding of Thunderbird, which I guess should also be considered for rebranding.
There's also always the question of if a name has been taken already.

Something related to a red panda, but not fire fox, may be an option too. Red Bear, Red Cat, Red Cat-Beat, Red Bear-Cat, Bear-Cat, Cat-Bear, Shining Panda, Red Panda, ...

Made a few new test case icons.

Once again, really nice icons. Unluckily Songbird is already a browser/music player based on Mozilla, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songbird_%28software%29 and Firefox is another name for Red Panda, which might be getting close to trademark issues, but maybe not, https://www-archive.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/firefox-name-faq.html and https://churchm.ag/firefox-logo/

If needed (don't think so, after all it's a fork/spin-off) a hardly ever used official prefix may help. Like "Canadian Red Panda".
Which actually can be linked to (a Canadian) Lynx... :-)

Yet another alternative may be an own family name, to emphasize that it's a family of (3) closely related products. In a way Red Panda is a stand-alone name. With the advantage that an icon hardly has to be changed.

It's a shame that all these ideas are already taken as they're good. The bearcat browser, https://github.com/bearcatjs/bearcat, the owl browser, https://owl-browser.en.aptoide.com/ though RedOwl might be fine.
The Red Panda almost seems the best, but even then there's https://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Other-Internet-Related/Panda-Smart-Browser.shtml, while different owls could be used for FF and TB.
I'd suggest quickly Googling names before spending much effort on icons. Seems almost like all the good names are already taken just in browsers, then there is all the other software, eg Mozilla moved away from Firebird due to a database using the name.
Perhaps a shell fish to keep with Arca Noae, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arca_noae though that shellfish doesn't look like it would adapt to a browser icon easily and Lewis has commented he doesn't really like software prefixed with Arca or similar.

As such quite good, albeit I'd link it to a (NASA'ish) space ship instead of a ship. Unless a ship (SM: mail ship?) is related to the sea of a sea monkey.

How about voyager.

Amiga browser, and QNX browser, both discontinued as far as I can tell.
I've checked a few other ideas and they all seem to be taken. There's been a lot of browsers developed over the years.
Perhaps we should just recycle one of these, as long as it isn't trademarked, including the trademark being enforced, it probably wouldn't be a problem with our small community.
Voyager, bearcat, red panda, redowl are all good names. Songbird is probably a bit too close to the former Moziila based browser.

If someone wants to run with any of the above, or others, here's the source that needs redoing. Not all needs doing either as we obviously don't need Windows or Mac icons as an example.

Name poll? Per product? An user's [poll][/poll] isn't supported here.

Unfortunately a voyager-type space ship with antennas, a dish, engine and modern solar panels may be too detailed for 40x40 and smaller icons, and may look like a satellite.

A voyager can also be represented by a figure carrying a bindle)
