Curious about OS/4
« on: July 18, 2019, 03:34:19 pm »
I see some threads about OS/4 but I'm not familiar with it.  What is it exactly?  Is there a website for it?  I've tried searching here and on Google and couldn't find much.

Thanks,

It is a "clean-leaf" implementation of the same kernel.

The developers are available at IRC channel.

I did another new fresh install of ArcaOS 5.04 and then added the OS4krnl.

When booting up with the os4krnl, there is approximately a 25 second delay after the cmd.exe is loaded before boot up continues.  Any idea why this happens?

I was seeing this on the previous setup also.  I am using the latest test case.

Could you show your kernel log ?  (copy kernlog$ DG.log)

Had to convert it to a DOC file.  It is not allowed to upload a log file.  I have attached the doc file.

It looks good. Try to play with RUN= statements in your config.os4
