OS2World Server Issues (2020-01-04)

<< < (8/10) > >>

Martin Iturbide:
Hi Andreas

I'm not experiencing your issue with ArcaOS andFirefox 45.9 anymore. Andreas, maybe you can try deleting the cookies or making a temporal profile for Firefox and see if something changes.

Can someone confirm if the "remember me" feature on the main page is working? It is working fine for me on Firefox 45.9 (also on 38.8), closing the navigator and reopening is saving my logon.

Regards

Dave Yeo:
Mine seems to have been lost after shutting down and restarting the browser. SeaMonkey 2.42.9

Pete:
Hi Martin

I see the same as Dave and Andreas - if I have closed the browser since last login I need to login again.

Interestingly I have not logged in on the main page but did not need to login to post this so login seems to persist for forums.

Regards

Pete

Andreas Schnellbacher:
This evening, I will try what happens if I delete both joomla_remember_me_* cookies. That might be the correct ones. There are several others by os2world.com and www.os2world.com that I could try to delete after that.

It behaves the same on two different systems with two different Mozilla apps and versions, of that one is the recent Firefox for W$. Here I run SeaMonkey 2.35 (Firefox 38).

Andreas Schnellbacher:
It doesn't work for me. Even after I've deleted all os2world cookies, the browser keeps me logged in on the main site https://www.os2world.com/cms/ only until I close all browser windows.

On opening the main site, the first cookie in the screenshot is created. It's a session cookie, that's deleted after a browser session.

The second joomla_remember_me_* cookie is added after I log in. It expires after a month. I guess that's the one that doesn't do what it should.

The third and fourth cookies are created after I've opened this thread. These are SMF pages. The PHPSESSID cookie expires at the end of the session and the SMFCookie* is the one that successfully keeps me logged in on the SMF pages until 2026.
