Strange hobbes.nmsu.edu behavior.
Martin Iturbide:
Hi
I had noticed that some files that are being asked to be removed (with the upload template), do not get removed from the page, but are marked as 0 bytes (so they can not be download).
For example:
https://hobbes.nmsu.edu/?path=%2Fpub%2Fos2%2Fsystem%2Fdrivers%2Fvideo
"gendac_s3.zip" was replaced by "S3_GenDac_patch_1994-05-10.zip". "gendac_s3.zip" still shows on the page but with "0 bytes".

Hi
I think I noticed something similar. On my FTP client when I try to upload two files it says :
- Response: 421 There are too many connections from your internet address.
Maybe the ftp upload and number of connections was tighten on the server.
Regards
Lars:
I only see this error if I try to connect from my OS/2 guest and the Windows host at the same time (in an act of desperation, placing the files in a shared folder) which is ok and can be expected. But I have these data transfer problems even with only one FTP client connected.
Alex Taylor:
Clearly Hobbes is still having problems.
I tried to upload a zip and txt pair (ft2v136). The .txt file uploaded successfully, the .zip aborted and ended up a zero-byte file, which defies all attempts to rename, remove, or replace it.
I guess the new server is not ready for general use yet.
Lars:
Yes, I had the very same problem.
Using NFTP in passive mode seems to improve the situation but does not completely rectify it.
Alex, can you try NFTP in passive mode and see if that improves the situation ? I'd be interested in the results.
