Hi
I tested it with ArcaOS 5.0.6 VM guest on VBox 6.1.22 (Windows 10 host).
- VM ICH AC97: Works, Audio control working, no traps.
- VM Intel HD Audio: Produce audio, but gives looping sound at end. Audio control working, no traps. (VirtualBox bug Ticket 20273 remains)

Thanks Paul for this update.

Regards

Bit simpler than that, the router decided to stop working around 1am and was rebooted around 6:30am...

 Hi Paul,

5.10.45 is working good here... thanks again!

@ Eugene - get PMUniMix 0.82 from Hobbes and run it. There may be volume controls that default to zero. I have one HP laptop that needs them turned up to work...

Thanks David but on my system Unimix will not run correctly. I knew that from in the Past and it wil not even display any volume controls.

https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-5.10.45-20210619.zip

Thinkpad T430:
Sound is there. But if I run VLC/2 and try to change volume during video playing sound stops and does not return until I close VLC/2 and restart it.

Best regards,
Mike

Linux sound code updated to 5.10.50 level - https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-5.10.50-202107179.zip

Pretty minor code changes for Realtek HDA hardware, and Intel AC97 hardware.

Hi Eugene.
Well stil not crashes but no sound and unimix no longer wil even come up.
Can you confirm the pci.exe report of your mainboard? On an older post you said it is a "Gigabyte MB with a Sound Blaster Recon chip", but can you please post the PCI report  and mainboard model?

Please also provide this log "copy alsahlp$ alsalog.txt".

From a quick google, a Sound Blaster Recon sounds like a ca0132 chipset - this chipset isn't currently enabled in the uniaud code.

Cheers,

Paul

https://uniaud32-linux-5.10.50-20210720.zip *might* allow the ca_0132 to work - there are still a few hacks - but an alsahlp$ from it might be interesting...
