I too have sound again. they perform much like the AN Uniaud drivers. It seems to interfere with the video driver or WPS on my machine. I am not sure which. screen redraws are very slow. There is hesitency in the populating of windows. The sound is limited to system sounds VLT wil play a Cd but generates no sound. this is just the same as the new stock drivers from AN. But it is getting better.

Hi Holger,
Are you able to send me the output of 'testlog uniaud' ? I'm curious what hardware you have. There were a LOT of changes in the most recent uniaud updates in AN, I'm not terribly surprised suspend/resume doesn't work. There were a lot of power related api's added in newer linux kernels, many of them I stubbed just to get things building.

@DaveYeo are you able to do the same on your T42? I'm assuming the T42 may still be AC97 hardware whereas the x61 will be HDA..

Hi Paul,
which address should I send the log to?

Regards
Holger

Just to ask are there any PCIe cards that use supported chipsets for the current releases of Uniaud?

Sound Blaster SB1040 PCIe 2007
==============================
Command line mixer for UNIAUD32. Version 1.1
Detected UNIAUD version 2.02.05
Detected 1 audio adapter(s)
Card info for adapter 0:
  num: 0
  id: Creative
  driver: HDA-Intel
  name: HDA Creative
longname: HDA Creative at 0xfeafc000 irq 16
  mixer: Creative CA0110-IBG
  componenets: HDA:1102000a,11021006,00100000

I think you would need to check the adapters chipsets and ask Paul if they are compiled in. The above card works fine with Uniaud.

The new driver works totally on system sounds. but i does not give audio from Youtube.com or VLC played Cds. In fact no CD player works with this driver and I am not sure the problem is not elseware i my system.

Linux code update to 5.14.7 level: https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-5.14.7-20210926.zip

Hi
I tested it with ArcaOS 5.0.6 VM guest on VBox 6.1.26 (Windows 10 host).
- VM ICH AC97: Works, Audio control working, no traps.
- VM Intel HD Audio: Works, Audio control working, no traps.

Have you tried the classic CD player, after making sure it's set to use digital transfer under the View menu?
I take it you are using one of the Mozilla apps to visit Youtube, them and VLC use libkai, which will default to using UNIAUD to play sounds and is somewhat broken. Make sure that you have "SET KAI_AUTOMODE=DART" in your environment. You could also try "SET KAI_AUTOMODE=UNIAUD", you never know.

Well there is a new drop from the 23rd on Netlabs and the performance is much much improved. Still some little hangs when opening certain folders and a still s slight hang when the folder makes a sound. But it is much more usable now. I will comment further as I run into things. but this is looking much better.

FWIW - this is built from the same code of my last 5.14.x release - there is something about the way David A does the builds that makes a difference...

Is there a parsing bug in the forum software? The link shows up correctly as
ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/uniaud/Uniaud-20211023.exe
However the actual link is ftp//ftp.netlabs.org/pub/uniaud/Uniaud-20211023.exe i.e., the : is dropped
