Hey!

I can't believe you didn't spot the deliberate typo? :) try https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-3.9-20220924.zip

Too much good Savignon Blanc my friend, and too nice a lovely Beef Stew courtesy of too lovely a wife, on a Friday night - need I say more?

M

Well that was unexpected! The only other bright idea is to use unimjx from the command line to toggle auto mute to 0.

...for Hyperfire with the driver from 3.9.11.... something like:
unimix -id19 -val0=0

19 is the control number for auto-mute from 'unimix -list'

Hey All,

I just stumbled across https://www.os2world.com/forum/index.php?topic=2436.75;msg=26471 - specifically the message from Andy...

Seems I missed this message and didn't back out the code he suggested.

On a whim... please try https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-3.9-20220924.zip and see if it changes anything....

Meanwhile, I'm also interested in the results of setting auto-mute to 0.

Wondering if there is any feedback from users running HDA hardware on differences (good or bad), between:
https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-5.19.9-20220924.zip
&
https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-5.19.9-20220918.zip

The difference is the 0924 build has the patch that @Andy Willis suggested removing two years ago removed. I haven't committed the change yet, pending feedback.

Cheers,

Paul

Separate to the above post, I also updated the uniaud32-next branch to the 5.15.70 code - builds at https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uniaud32-linux-5.15.70-20220924.zip

I'm hoping that I will have a house to move into in the coming months, then I can unpack my stuff in storage and start using OS/2 again and be a bit more helpful :)
Either that or I'm going to start driving around Australia again!
Cheers

Hi Paul,

Both the latest 5.15.70 and 5.19.9 builds work just fine here. No obvious difference from the last versions. No problem with cold vs. warm boot either - they both just work.

Where abouts are you these days? still in WA? Thanks again for os2site - I was chasing down a copy of ndcrypt and the link at ecomstation.ru was borked - but sure enough os2site had a copy :)

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Drove to Melbourne from Perth mid January, drove back to Perth with a week in Kalgoorlie early August with my dog in the back seat, due to ageing family members I think I will be staying in Perth for a couple more years.

Looking forward to getting my server out of storage and back on the internet, never did get SFTP/wget etc working to update the public website, will look at networking my server to Linux and update it that way. Maybe even put the server on VirtualBox and use the shared directory option. I stopped updating my servers version of os2site.com late last november when I sold my house but have kept a basic structure on my Linux laptop to put updates in that can be transfered to os2site.com later.

Glad os2site.com is helpful to others :)
Cheers

Are you able to be a little more descriptive on what GOOD and Bad mean?

Paul in the two drops you asked to comment on. 20229018 is extremely buggy. PM123 really acts strange with this driver. It does work though. 20220924 acts much better and is stable for me.

That's really interesting - it does support what Andy commented - in that his change caused more problems than it solved.

Cheers,

Paul.
